NOTW: French Manicure 2.0

Hi Guys,

The weather is pants today as it’s been raining so I can’t get any decent pictures. For today’s manicure post, I decided to pull something out of my archives.

I created a classic french manicure but revised it by using glitter polish on the tips. For the base colour I used Sally Hansen’s Insta Dri in Petal Pusher. It is such a beautiful nude shade but unfortunately it’s formula failed to impress me. It is very runny so it flooded my nail bed. It is also very streaky, almost impossible to get a completely opaque and smooth finish with it.
I have other Insta Dri polishes that I really like but I found this particular one really annoying so it’s going into my “useless products” drawer, shame.

For the tips, I used an unbranded gold glitter nail polish that I found in my stash. The glitter bits are chunky and there are some stars inside it which I really like.

These pictures make me miss my long nails, boo-hoo! I can’t wait till they grow again although I can’t deny how much more comfortable shorter nails are 🙂

Can you girls recommend any pretty nude polishes to me? I’m on the hunt for another one as this one is no good.

Peace and Love,

Y.

P.S I’m a featured blogger of the day on Bloggers.com. Yay!

Totally unrelated but it still on beauty so gonna post!I tried the orange/morange(mine was from sleek)and Jesu I hated it!a regular on ur blog but never tried any of ur post do's,the only time I decided to give it a go,my lips came out looking like a fiery witch!
Oya I'm returning to my matte red lipstick(and yes I'm not doing any cream lipstick again due to my orange experience)!
Hmmm I could write a whole post on my experience but I would take a chill pill.hehe

I actually prefer short nails cos i've always had long nails but recently trimmed them[extremely short] and now i enjoy my polishes more than before, besides, they r easier to paint than long nails.
I think you would love the nude polishes by L.A Girls, u can check them out at poise, ikeja city mall. I also noticed u like nail art a lot so i'm sure u would love L.A COLORS nail art lacquer, the brush is very thin so u can use it for polka dots and d rest and it comes in lovely colors. I found it at ozone. I love your posts.
