In the short time that I have been blogging, one of the posts that has received the most views is my review of Sleek Makeup here. I have realised that thousands of ladies all over the world are constantly searching for reviews on Sleek products so I decided to review a few new products I have added to my ever growing selection. It is no news that I’m a total Sleek stan is it?
Sleek Makeup Translucent Loose Powder in Light
I’ve been looking for the best powder to set my under eye concealer for a while now. I bought this Sleek one with the hope that it would be the one.
I am really impressed with the powder’s formula, it is finely milled and applies very smoothly on the skin. However I realised that it is not very effective for setting my under eye concealer. It has an orangey tint and it didn’t stop the concealer creasing. However, as an all over face powder, it does an okay job. I sometimes wear it on it’s own without any foundation and it gives decent coverage for a translucent powder. One drawback of this product is that the shade range is pretty limited, light, dark and chocolate so it might be hard finding a colour match.
Would I buy it again? Probably not, it didn’t blow my mind.
Sleek Makeup Blush
There is absolutely no reason to not like Sleek’s blushes. If you don’t have any in your makeup stash girl, you don’t know what you’re missing. They are cheap yet so beautiful and highly pigmented, enough said.
|Flushed & Life’s A Peach|
Flushed: This is my favourite blush at the moment and I have been wearing it almost everyday. The shade is a deep berry colour which really brings life to my face. I love it best when I’m wearing it with Mac Hang Up lipstick, they were made for each other. It is one that will most definitely complement all skin tones and I highly recommend it.
Life’s A Peach: This blush is a beautiful coral shade in the pan but on my face it is just bland. It just doesn’t come up well even if i pack it on. I’m disappointed because I had read so many rave reviews about this blush and it just doesn’t work for me. Maybe it’s my skin tone because Coral (which is another peach coloured blush from Sleek) also does nothing for me. I guess I’ll be sticking to deeper colours.
Sleek Makeup Pout Polish SPF15
Pout polishes pack the nourishment of a lip balm and the pigmentation of a lip gloss in one nifty pot. If you aren’t really into lipsticks but would still like a bit of colour on your lips, these are perfect. I wear them on days when I’m going for a more muted look or as a base for my lipsticks. They smell absolutely delicious and are not tacky at all. Sleek knows how to make great lip glosses. They also contain SPF15, major plus! I do not want to know what sunburned lips look like, thank you.
Pink Cadillac: A subtle bubblegum pink shade that looks great on it’s own or can be worn as a base with many pink lipsticks to make them appear more vibrant. You can also wear them on top of your lipsticks for a glossy effect.
Raspberry Rhapsody: This is a nice purple shade but I find that it doesn’t show up as well as Pink Cadillac. I use it more as a base than on it’s own and I really like it.
Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Mulberry
Mulberry is a very dark burgundy lipstick that is not for the faint hearted at all. I only whip it out when I’m going for a seriously dramatic look. If vamp makeup is your thing, then you should definitely pick this one up. I have done a full review on it before, see here.
