Recipe | Spicy Seafood Pasta

It’s a work-free day for us over here in Nigeria as we celebrate Democracy day. I whipped up this super easy pasta meal for lunch and it was oh-so-yummy. Here’s the recipe, something different aye? 🙂

What You Need

  • 1 pack of any pasta of your choice (I used Rigatoni)
  • 1 jar of tomato pasta sauce (I used Dolmio’s sauce)
  • Sea food mix- prawns, calamari, squid, octopus
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 scotch bonnet peppers
  • 1 green pepper
  • Feta cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cubes Maggi cubes
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 1tsp garlic powder
  • 1tsp ginger powder
  • 1tsp ground/cayenne pepper

  • Chop up onions and peppers and fry on low heat for 2 minutes in a wok
  • Add your tomatoes and fry for another 2 minutes

  • Add in your sea food mix and allow to simmer for 5 minutes
  • Season the mix with all your spices as listed above

  • Pour in the jar of tomato pasta sauce and allow to cook for 5 mins
  • At this point, start boiling the pasta in another pot

  • When the pasta is cooked, drain and set aside

  •  Toss pasta with sauce and let simmer for another 1 min

  • Serve pasta piping hot and throw on some feta cheese (or any cheese of your choice)!

Let me know if you try this recipe and if you would like to see more posts like this 🙂

Peace and Love,
