A Whirlwind Christmas and Happy 2016!

Happy 2016!

I know, I know, I’m a tad late but I can explain. I have had a whirlwind Christmas! I went to more events and parties than legally allowed and I had the most fun whilst hopping around from one spot to the other. Christmas of 2015 was actually the best Christmas I’ve had since the good old days of being an excited kid jumping on the queue to see Father Christmas 🙂

My husband and I also hosted two small get togethers over the holidays- one for close friends and another for family.

Here’s a rundown of some (not all) of the things I got up to this holiday!

The festivities kicked off properly with my office End of Year party which was so much fun. We had a Club themed party so the atmosphere was really relaxed and fun, no stiffness at all. I got my makeup done by the lovely Theo of Doranne Beauty and boy did she SLAY!!! Sad I didn’t get a full picture of my outfit but its a really pretty dress..hehe

This was at Pepsi Rhythm Unplugged and the highlight of the night for me was seeing Trey Songz! His performance was brilliant, let’s just say he left a lot of ladies short of fainting.

Wore this to a wedding and then went clubbing with my husband and his friends at the new club called Nitro on Adeola Hopewell.

Cape: Maju

One of my fav Nigerian brands Maju had a shopping party and it was a fabulous day out. Their new collection is fire and you will notice that I wore many of the pieces out this Christmas.

With Claire 🙂

There was a Cocktails with Claire event which was a meet and greet with Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily who was in Nigeria (i think even Africa) for the first time. The way this woman has turned blogging into a profitable business is actual goals so it was really great to meet her in person. She’s so sweet too!

Music Meets Runway was celebrating its 5th year this year and I realized I had actually never been to one so I decided to go. Highlight was seeing Wizkid perform, again! I probably saw him perform at least 4 times this holiday and he is amazing every single time. .

Oh second highlight was getting a picture with Skepta! I had seen him and the rest of the BBK Crew at the Beat FM Christmas concert the day before and I was still reeling from excitement when I saw him at MMR!

Spent Christmas Eve into Christmas morning at a family house party which was lots of fun, food and alcohol. Actually this was the theme for the whole of the holidays really.

Dress: Maju

On Christmas Day, my parents-in-law were having a garden party, so spent the entire day there with family, good times! This Maju dress was perfect for stuffing my face and not have my food baby give my greed away.

Collage of photos from friends we had over at our house on Boxing Day. We had so much fun that I actually fought back tears when the last couple of people were leaving 🙁

Another collage from the Bella Naija Cointreau Fizz Party that was at Maison Fahrenheit. I got to meet THE Bella Naija after years of online interactions and she is ever so sweet. Hi Uche! 🙂 Also met the lovely Ink (for the second time actually) who runs Bella Naija Weddings.

Yet another wedding…

Pants: Maju

Wore this on New Years’ Eve. We entered 2016 in church and then went out for a very late dinner (early breakfast? considering it was 1 am?)

So that was kind of how my holidays went, here there and everywhere!

I’m grateful to God that 2015 was a great year and I’m praying for an even better 2016. Also looking forward to taking this little old blog even further this year! Wishing you guys all the best as well. God bless you all! *big kiss*

Peace and Love,
